Miss Chicago Pageant
What a fun day today. Haley was in the Miss Chicago pageant today. She was a princess, which meant she didn't compete, she just did a dance and was crowned Miss Chicago Princess.
Our amazing Miss Kristen won the title tonight and will compete in Miss Illinois in June.

Sound of Music - school play
Josh was just cast in the Sound of Music at his school. He is Kurt, the youngest child. Can't wait to see him!
Day of Josh
Long day for Josh. Started the day at CLC in the MathCounts competition. Although he didn't make it to the speed round, he had a great time. We will know later how well he did.
Then rushed home, changed and went to Lake Forest for his solo band competition. He scored a 1 (1 was the best). Dave and I were able to be in the room and listened to him play. So proud of Josh today..
Josh's week
What a week so far for Josh.
Josh got 2 (yes 2) Hawthorn Eagle Awards at school. Teachers give out 2 awards, per class per trimester, to students and Josh got one from his writing teacher and one from his IT teacher.
So proud of all of his hard work in middle school.
Also, he just found out he got a call back for the Sound of Music.
